| | Description: | 14K oval shaped Victorian mourning locket Circa 1880. Very popular during Victorian times this locket would have been used to hold a piece of a loved ones hair. The locket measures approximately 1.5 inches long and 1 inch across with a large triangular bail at the top. There is a lovely pierced pattern around the edge and a multi color rose applied to the top. The flower is pink gold and the leaves are green gold. Engraved on the front is the word REMEMBER. The locket is hinged and opens to reveal the left side covered with a piece of beveled glass and the other side ready for a picture. There is a dent on the back of the locket but otherwise the locket is in very good condition.
