| | Description: | Absolutely FABULOUS!! We have not seen a slide chain this spectacular! 18K yellow gold Victorian chain from the 1860's that measures 64 inches long. The flat mesh chain measures 2.3mm wide and has stars applied along the entire length, 60 total. The slide has a lock and key motif with seed pearls and 1 green stone and two red. The slide measures approximately 1.25 inches wide. The stones are too small to test but they appear to be genuine. There is a flower stem that arches over the curve of the lock with nicely detailed leaves and the red stones could be the flower blossoms. Dangling from the key are two mesh chain sections that match the rest of the chain. Each dangling piece of chain measures approximately 2 inches long and has 2 stars applied on each and a foxtail chain tassel at the end. The swivel hook at the bottom is waiting for a beautiful locket or small ladys pocketwatch to complete the look. Everything is complete and all original to this slide chain that is approximately 150 years old - amazing! We have seen it listed in the antique guides and it is possible to assume that this piece could have been the actual piece in the photograph because it is THAT unique!
